Broken trees! - 2011/12/02 17:29
So this has always been a concern of mine. Broken off trees sticking out on or near the edge of a trail. The raw broken ends of trees can cause great harm to people. I got to see it last night. A fellow MTB rider is very lucky. Front tire slides out on frosted root. Bike and rider go down. Ride smacks head into the pointed edges of the tree. This is only a guess as the ride can't remember what exactly happened. But the doctor pulled a bunch off wood out of his ear. Which the we didn't see while we were looking at their ear. Oh and this was on Longberger at a high rate of speed.
