EndosRFun Lower Sass - potential hazard - 2010/01/16 18:47 I don't know if folks are aware of this but if you are bombing down lower Sass be careful when it dumps out at the gas line. They planted about 15 or so saplings right in the middle of where the trail used to cross the gas line before the expansion. To protect these saplings they installed an 8 foot high deer fence which begins about 3-5 feet from the end of the trail where it dumps out into the gas line. I rode up Sass and knew it was there on my way down but if you are not aware of it and you come flying down expecting to shoot straight across you will be in for a big surprise. When the trees get leaves you are not going to see it until it is too late. It was barely visible a little before sunset today. You could see the posts but you couldn't see the silver fence too well.
