HMac Sunday Hunting Bill - 2009/11/22 10:16 Does the club have a position on Sunday hunting in Pa? There are currently two bills in Harrisburg to allow hunting on Sundays (according to my local paper). Does the club get involved with that sort of thing... I know we want to stay friends with our hunting buddies? In the very least could everyone please pick up the phone and call their Rep and let them know how you feel, not just for peaceful mountain trekking but for the good of the tourism in our state.

From the Daily Item, Sun 22nd 2009
... continued peace may hinge on the outcome of bills introduced in the state House of Representatives earlier this year.

One bill, introduced by Rep. Marc Gergely of Allegheny County, would clear the way for all Sunday hunting. Another bill, introduced by Rep. Edward Staback, of Lackawanna County, would allow archery hunting on Sundays.

Both pieces of legislation languish in the Game and Fisheries Committee, to which both were referred after their introduction.

hodog Re:Sunday Hunting Bill - 2009/11/23 09:48 I remember calling my reps within the last few years about this. They just won't let it die! PA needs to work on cutting costs, improving the business climate, and deporting our old people. Morons. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
