hodog Rock Run - 2009/11/02 12:12 Did a 'ride' on Rock Run on Sat. Black Mo isn't as bad as Tussey, but it has tons of stuff down. I spent 4+ hours clearing stuff but the trail probably look like no one touched it.

Other trails at Black Mo may not be as bad, didn't look bad around the park. But some areas the woods looked trashed.

If anyone wants to do some moonlight trail clearing let me know.

TBird Re:Rock Run - 2009/11/03 10:43 FYI: I think there's a Snowmobile club doing a cleanup this weekend at Black Mo, so maybe that will help a little bit.

br4 Re:Rock Run - 2009/11/07 20:48 Rock run front loop (starting at mailbox) is clear. Don't know how back loop is, or section from 504 to mailbox.
Cleared the front loop all the way around today. Ran out of daylight and had to use lights for the last hour so the section about 1 mile to the left of the mailbox and 1/4 mile to right are not as clean as the rest, however, all the chainsaw work has been done, so if anything is there, it should be easy to pull off.
I heard that there are a couple trees down on rattlesnake and some on smays. Since these are snowmoble trails (at least smays is), maybe the snowmobile club got these today.

br4 Re:Rock Run - 2009/11/10 17:53 An update on some of the other trails at Black Mo.
AFT between Beaver Road and Underwood Road is clear (someone cleared it. Thanks). There are 2 trees down that need chain sawed, but they are easy to get by.
All the bike trails in the state park are in good shape (ski slope, star mill, shingle mill).
