stinatoll Sun, 10/18 ride - 2009/10/18 09:54 Tuxedo, the Ridge, Beer Tap, Tussey Extension. (Unless the Extension is muddy -- I've never been on it.)

I would like to start at 12:00 but can be flexible.

dfhkvs Re:Sun, 10/18 ride - 2009/10/18 12:30 Wow, really? Good luck with that itinerary, I'll be curious to hear about how clear it is. I was just in Scotia and it was a real mess.

stinatoll Re:Sun, 10/18 ride - 2009/10/18 14:26 It was not rideable because of all of the downed branches. I didn't get very far on Camp Trail before giving up. It will be a little better when the snow melts.

DonnaM Re:Sun, 10/18 ride - 2009/10/18 14:47 So disappointing... it is quite a disaster up there right now... poor trees! I've been on 3 Bridges and Lonberger the last 2 days. The trails are a sorry mess. Who knows how long it could be before they're passable/rideable... even hiking is tedious! The last time I saw so many limbs/trees down was 6yrs. (or so) ago after the huge ice-storm. This kind of clean-up is going to require a lot of joint effort. Today, I saw 4 trucks on Bear Meadows road tending to the downed wires and fallen limbs/trees. It was weird hiking... you'd have this false hope that every few yards it would start to clear... nope! Donna

stinatoll Re:Sun, 10/18 ride - 2009/10/18 17:01 I saw you driving up, Donna. I had just had to turn my car around to go park in the lower lot.

I don't know how these things work, but I hope the association gets some work days scheduled so we can clear some trails before the snow sets in.

csy Re:Sun, 10/18 ride - 2009/10/18 19:10 I was hiking on Tuxedo and Upper Longberger today and there were so many trees down on the trails...going to take a lot of time to clean up.
