frank W101 pre-race work - 2009/07/05 16:43 Of what I have seen so far, it sounds like telephone is the main point of work. I have talked to Chris and am going to try and get a machine in to fix the bottom of the trail in the next few weeks. I would like to schedule a trail work session on Sunday the 19th to finish with the hand work. Could folks make that date? It could be an evening session (say 5-8pm) if that would work better for folks.
The other thing would be a clip and ride session on a short stretch of Telephone. Anyone up for doing that at some point?

hodog Re:W101 pre-race work - 2009/07/10 09:36 There's a log down at the bottom of Chesnut Springs spur to Brush Ridge (brush ridge). It is at the rocky section 100ft from the Brush Ridge intersection. It is at an angle that kind of forces you off the trail. Ruined an otherwise perfect yesterday - thanks Al...

Allen Re:W101 pre-race work - 2009/07/10 14:31 Ho that log over is so easy.
I will not be taking that one out until in need to walk the saw that way for something else.
I did get the one on No Name and lower Pig pile.
Did a little trimming on top also.

Jim G Re:W101 pre-race work - 2009/07/12 22:29 There's a big one down on Croyle. 12" diameter, about 3/4 of a mile from the bottom. It's about 2' above the trail tread.

frank Re:W101 pre-race work - 2009/07/15 10:04 I am going to push back the evening trailwork to Monday the 20th, as a bunch of folks are either racing at Michaux or 6 hours of power this weekend.
Right now, the plan is to meet at the intersection of blacklick rd and Spencer trail (about a quarter mile from Greenwood Furnace on the right) at 5:30 on Monday. We will be trying to fix the gully at the bottom Telephone. Should take about 2 hours if we can get a 6-8 people out.
HAs anyone ridden the bald eagle stuff in the last few months? I was out there in April, but thats too long ago to be worthwhile.
