erik Intro Novice Ride 6/11 - 2009/06/10 21:06 Heads Up !

The Intro Novice ride which was running at Pine Hall Rd. will be at Scotia (Circleville Park) until further notice. The Tussey ride will continue as scheduled. Both rides roll at 6:00 PM

Tell all your friends. Remember, all are invited to these rides BUT they are meant to match the skill and experience level of all who come out. So if you are sitting on the fence thinking about riding, this is for you !

erik Re:Intro Novice Ride 6/11 - 2009/06/10 21:41 Circleville Park is the meeting location for the Circleville/Scotia Intro Novice rides.

From State College area, take Science Park to Valley Vista, then left on Bachman Drive which becomes Circleville Rd. after about 1/8th mile.

Proceed 1/2 mile on Circleville to the park on the right.

wxlidar Re:Intro Novice Ride 6/11 - 2009/06/10 22:38 I'm not very familiar with all that Scotia has to offer. Is anyone out there who is familiar with Scotia willing to lead the ride this week (and maybe next)?

I'll still be there to lead if necessary or help out elsewhere in the pack.

Thanks,
Dave

Nick821 Re:Intro Novice Ride 6/11 - 2009/06/11 07:58 I will be there to help out too, but I also don't know the trails well enough in case we have to get out in a hurry. (rain)

herrhaus Re:Intro Novice Ride 6/11 - 2009/06/11 08:38 I'm having bike transpo issues. I have the new bike with me today (removed the tires and jammed it in the back seat)....however, I need it tuned up first. I plan on talking to the bike shop and seeing if they can work on it today. If not....I'm not sure what will happen. If I can't get things to work out with the new bike.....I may have to head back to Bellefonte to grab the old bike and throw the SPD's back on it.

Anyone heading to Tussey?
Chuck Norris once broke the land speed record on a bicycle that was missing its chain and the back tire.

kevinb Re:Intro Novice Ride 6/11 - 2009/06/11 08:52 at a very minimum, Erik will be at Tussey (assuming no rain)for the "beginner" ride there.
I will be at Circleville to lead that ride

Is it something we can do at the trailhead?

herrhaus Re:Intro Novice Ride 6/11 - 2009/06/11 10:44 Emailed Justin W over at FTC. He said they will not be able to get to my bike until next week some time. However he said I could stop by today and take a quick look at it to make sure I'm not going to damage it in any way if I ride it. I'll head down at noon with it and have him take a look....

Still can't figure out how to PM or look at another member's public profile info? What am I missing?

kevinb Re:Intro Novice Ride 6/11 - 2009/06/11 10:55 I don't think we have PM function on this forum board to be honest. as far as the public profile, I think it depends on what access level you are set up with

herrhaus Re:Intro Novice Ride 6/11 - 2009/06/11 11:00 Getting OT here....however, when I click on another members name (on left at each post) it doesn't allow me to view thier profile. It gives me the "You are not authorized to view this page!" error. I thought the purpose of have a local forum was so that you could gather information from local folks. Again....am I missing something? Chuck Norris once broke the land speed record on a bicycle that was missing its chain and the back tire.
