wxlidar Pine Hall (trails behind AccuWx) - 2009/05/03 22:55 In preparation for the start of the novice rides I visited the trails behind AccuWeather. I carried my GPS with me to record the trails so I can make a map. I realize there aren't that many independent trails back there but I was wondering if any of them have names? In my head there is a main loop and inner loop (east of the dirt road) and another loop west of the road. There is also a connector trail that cuts across the main loop but is actually part of the inner loop.

I thought it might be a good idea to have some landmarks to help with organizing and to give beginners some bearings.

Thanks,
Dave

Jim G Re:Pine Hall (trails behind AccuWx) - 2009/05/04 18:45 I made multiple loops in there yesterday. It's handy to see it from above. Thanks.

Yoda Re:Pine Hall (trails behind AccuWx) - 2009/05/04 23:08 Matt, I believe the green line is the double track road leading in from Minitab.

mattd Re:Pine Hall (trails behind AccuWx) - 2009/05/05 09:29 Ah, ok. Is that the best way to get there?

wxlidar Re:Pine Hall (trails behind AccuWx) - 2009/05/05 14:10 Yep, the green line is the double-track (dirt road) from the dirt cul-de-sac by Minitab.

There are several entry points for the trails. The dirt road continues through the woods towards Circleville (It looks like a T on my map but it keeps going). So you can enter from either side.

Near the T there is a dirt road that heads WSW towards Accuweather (near the big white circle on the map). The road dead-ends but you can get to Science Park road.

There is another entrance off of the northern tip of the trails that makes its way to Blue Course Drive. There is no trail on this side of Blue Course So you are on your own at this point.
