frank New Trees down in Coopers Gap - 2009/04/12 13:51 Hey folks,
There are several trees that are going to require chain saws in Cooper's Gap. I won't have a chance to get out between now and next weekend, so if some one does go, please post back here.
Indian trail between Stone Creek Rd and Brush Ridge - 3 big ones on the climb from Stone Creek and one just over the top. There is also one just before the log skinnies.
Brush Ridge - There is one just past the intersection with Indian, and then another between the pond and where Chestnut comes down. Both need a chainsaw.
Deer Tick - There is a new one not too far from the bottom, just above where the first one was earlier this year.
Beautiful - There is a big one just before the start of the rock gardens coming from Deer tick. Its ride-able, but you lose so much momentum, you'll be hard pressed to clear the uphill rocks. I would think it would be pretty sketchy going the other way. There are a couple of smaller ones further on, so if you carried your saw the whole way, you might as well take them too.
