Deadfall on Dear Tick - 2009/01/04 20:25
I road Beautiful, Deer Tick and Sand Hole this morning and they were in good shape w/ a variety of snow, rock and bare trail except for the 2 large trees across Dear Tick (see picture). They are about 1/2 to 2/3 up the trail starting from Cooper's Gap. Also, before you get to these trees there is another one across the trail. You can get past this tree by riding beside the bottom of the tree where it broke off but it looks to me like it will need to be taken out with a chainsaw. However, I would defer to someone w/more trail maintanence experience.
