SteveF Re:Getting closer - 2008/10/13 18:34 Maybe NMBA could recruit the guy with the McCain hat to guard mt bikers who ride in Cooper's Gap/Lingle Valley from the Milroy cougar that was reported in the Lewistown Sentinel.

princess Re:Getting closer - 2008/10/14 19:37 i heard of another one here in mckean county. i'm not so sure about the reliability of the source, he's a bit prone to exageration. he's in the woods an aweful lot tho, so make of it what you will.

Raymo853 Re:Getting closer - 2008/10/16 09:00 I am crazy but still think 99% of cougar sightings and no more truthful than are Jimbo's chance of getting lucky with Cougars.

Demon of the Fall Re:Getting closer - 2008/10/17 09:39 Please see the "Drinking Problems" thread. Drunk posting is something I have suspected for a long time. Nobody can type that badly while sober.

frank Re:Getting closer - 2008/10/20 15:38 Sorry Kids, but it looks like they're back to be far away (of course, I am going to quote the PGC, which we all know is part of the liberal gotcha media elite)
Pa. Game Commission: Mountain lion attack was hoax

The Associated Press
11:25 AM EDT, October 20, 2008

QUARRYVILLE, Pa. (AP) - The Pennsylvania Game Commission says there's no evidence to support a Lancaster County man's report that he shot a mountain lion and was injured by a second cat while tracking it.

The agency said Monday that state police crime lab tests showed a supposed blood trail wasn't blood. A search turned up no evidence of mountain lion hair, feces or tracks in the vicinity.

A knife the man says he used to fight with the animal near his Quarryville farm has deer hair on it. Further tests are being done on blood on the knife.

There hasn't been a confirmed sighting of a wild mountain lion in Pennsylvania for more than a century.

cathyd Re:Getting closer - 2009/05/19 16:28 I've talked to people on farms near Alburtis (southwest Allentown) who swear they've seen mountain lions (in addition to bobcats) on their property over the years. Course, you have to be crazy to live in Allentown so interpret that as you will...
