Death No Tree Down on TMT - 2006/10/23 18:32 Just like it says. Unlike Lonberger and Croyle, right now there are no trees down on TMT. Check back tomorrow.

frank Re:No Tree Down on TMT - 2006/10/23 19:16 So are you saying that you have removed every tree on Tussey? Man, someone is going to be pissed.

Death Re:No Tree Down on TMT - 2006/10/23 19:19 Oh Frank! Hey! I didn't expect you to read this! Glad you're into the details. I know sn-HO is.

Well, you're right. I should clarify. There are no trees down over the trail that Don would want removed.

Jim G Re:No Tree Down on TMT - 2006/10/23 23:09 Crap. I was stoked (that's for Frank) for a second there.

kevinb Re:No Tree Down on TMT - 2006/10/24 09:14 i dont know, that one just past kettle going towards the gasline is a real pain. i know somebody has spent alot of time putting that ramp in, but its really tough to get a good run at

princess Re:No Tree Down on TMT - 2006/10/24 19:47 now kevin, i can remember when you could barely get over any log, surely you don't want to stop getting better and move out west yet do you?

i haven't seen it, but matt claims he did build it, so i'm guessing it can't be that bad. he does admit he's not finished with one side.

kevinb Re:No Tree Down on TMT - 2006/10/25 08:47 i did make it to the top and since I had not seen the other side yet I did not exactly commit to it so Im sure I can make it sometimes, but nobody else in the group really came very close. its not the ramp thats the issue, its getting any kind of run at it thats the problem

Demon of the Fall Re:No Tree Down on TMT - 2006/10/25 09:59 I agree with Kevin. It is really damn difficult to get a run at this log when heading toward the gasline. Hell, that damn section is hard enough to ride without the log down. I have not seen anyone suceed yet and it would be ugly if you fell off of that bastard. Whoever the son of a bitch is that built that damn rock ramp, should have spent his time cutting the damn tree out instead, the stupid bastard.

mattd Re:No Tree Down on TMT - 2006/10/25 10:52 aw...you guys can't make it over the log ramp? I built it and then stuck it the first time..both ways.

There is also another log on TMT just a little further down the trail from kettle.

Demon of the Fall Re:No Tree Down on TMT - 2006/10/25 11:07 Matt,

I didn't mean to call you names or trash your creation in my last post. I was just testing out the obscenity filter which apparently no longer exists. Yee-haw, now we can swear like drunk sailors!

Screw you all you bunch of stupid bastards! Go to Hell.

kevinb Re:No Tree Down on TMT - 2006/10/25 11:38 ive gotta admit, it is one heck of a well built ramp, quite solid, good angles, etc. have not tried it going towards kettle, dont seem to ride the trail that way much, especially now with the camp trail closed. its just awfully tough with that approach not to have another way around it.

hodog Re:No Tree Down on TMT - 2006/10/25 13:56 I was able to ride it both ways, but it is not at a good spot when riding from kettle. The base is super solid - but the top keeps getting messed up. At risk of losing chance of my discount on LaughingMoose prints, I say ride it while you can, sawcaddy is calling!

HO

mattd Re:No Tree Down on TMT - 2006/10/25 14:14 oh fine! Tear it out if you must...But you get to move all of the rocks back! There might be a way to cut to the side of the ramp and open up a way around...kind of like the big ramp towards the gasline that is very hard when coming from the direction of kettle.

I'll just load my car up with some rotten wood and rusty nails and head out to the gamelands...

frank Re:No Tree Down on TMT - 2006/10/25 14:49 My prefered building materials are green twigs and some twine, if you're going to do it right.

princess Re:No Tree Down on TMT - 2006/10/25 19:00 well, i hadn't seent this thread since my last post. but i went and did some work today.

first off, that was a lot of rock you moved, matt. i didn't even plan on doing anything but looking at it. but i did have the pulaski, so i took the tree out at the edge of the ramp. i then moved the ramp over about a foot on the kettle side. now the sissies amongst us with big rings can ride right by and those of us with a penchant for breaking bikes and bodies can still ride the ramp.

hopefully, my work will be as sturdy as matt's was, it took a bit of time to move those rocks out of the way.

so now nobody needs to have their panties in a bunch, and we can all go back to getting along. (except you and i frank.)
