princess log ride back up! - 2008/05/19 22:52 title says it all, ride it while we got it.

rocks are heavy and dull pulaskis suck to chop through logs.

curved ramp could use a little work, maybe wednesday if it's still up.

princess Re:log ride back up! - 2008/05/22 21:57 i'm a god! or at least i like to think so!

finally got out to ride (damn rain!) and got my first attempts at the log tonight. smooth as a baby's bottom! flows amazing from bear meadows and isn't bad the other way, but definitely a tougher approach. i made it that way on the second attempt. the first i didn't even make it onto the ramp.

matteson and i both agree, it's better than before. we made it look pretty easy, but i had to work for it, he just needed to be there. damn kids!

here's hoping it lasts, i know a lot of people will enjoy this, even if anna does like the old way of coming up from the sides better.

Demon of the Fall Re:log ride back up! - 2008/06/02 13:01 Shucks! Why do I have to be the bearer of bad news?

Both ramps to the log ride have been destroyed again.

I rode past it Saturday around 5:30 PM and I was sad and angry. I saw Yoda in the forest earlier that day and he told me first about the destruction so I was prepared.

Every rock is removed. I can't believe that some jerk would put that much time and effort into destroying the log ride. Why would someone even bother?

princess Re:log ride back up! - 2008/06/03 19:50 lol, yeah sucks for sure. that was good too, i really liked the layout.

anyway, not so sure who it would be, but i can only say that i wish i could bear weight on the ankle and i'd go rebuild it.

grant told me about it monday morning, but that day turned into a pretty hectic time, so...

it'll be back, rest assured.

mcmbike Re:log ride back up! - 2008/06/06 17:52 On Tuesday Grant had a good idea of just chainsawing the ramps into the log. It would definitly make it harder to destroy, but a lot less fun to ride. I still can't believe no one has seen the person responsible for this though. At least the one on 3 Bridges has been there for a while.

princess Re:log ride back up! - 2008/06/07 21:56 aye, something more permanent would be appealling given our current troubles. but hey, who knows, maybe what we're getting here is that we all need to develop mad bunny hopping skills and just bypass the ramp parts all together. where's tigger, he back in the country yet?
