nabilkamal Re:is Detweiler ridable? - 2008/04/26 09:54 No, I "rode" it yesterday (Fri. 4/25). From the gate at Bear Meadows road I would say you get about one third of the way up then there are trees cut across the entire trail all the way to the top where it connects with Thickhead. I had no idea what was going on so I decided to continue . That was a horrible decision. Not only can you not ride but many time you can't walk. You have to climb over trees with your bike. It totally sucked.

frank Re:is Detweiler ridable? - 2008/04/29 20:50 I had a meeting with Forestry today and asked about Detweiler. Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like it will be rideable again until the gasline is done. They have plans to close it and John Wert as both are being used as access points for the gasline.
The good news on all this is that Tussey, Sassafras, and Pigpile will only be closed while the work is immediately impacting the trail. This should mean a day or two each.

EMarshall Re:is Detweiler ridable? - 2008/05/14 20:53 I went for a ride tonight and decided to take a gander down detweiler and to my surprise, it's clear! Not more than two limbs across the trail.
