CzerpMan Sassafras I, Bigelow, Pig Pile - 2008/04/19 21:10 I am not sure if this falls under NMBA jurisdiction or not but I thought I would post it anyway. I had a chance to get out in the woods today and ride these trails. There are 2 dead fall on Sassafras about half way between Rag Hollow and the gas line. The one looks like it may have been there for a while. It's sort of a Y shaped tree and you have to go under 2 parts of if. It sits about handle bar high on the trail. I removed most of the little stuff(branches) that fell. Not sure if there used to be a sign post for Bigelow or not but there isn't one there. There is one dead fall on Pig Pile between Bigelow and the gas line. I am thinking these would need a chain saw. Other then covered with leaves they seem to be in good shape. Has the big water hole always been at the end of Pig Pile at Barrville? Almost went for a dip at the end.
