scarcollector scotia map? - 2007/09/04 09:34 Hey ya'll,
I'm the new guy in town but perhaps not the only one (me thinks school started). Actually it was 8 weeks ago that I moved here. Time flies like the fruit fly circling the compost pile outback.
Anyway, I've been doing some of the tuesday and wednesday rides that leave from the Galbraith lot. Those rides are great (people) and challenging (trail). I've also done a few around Cooper's Gap. Those seem to be newer and smoother but driving there is not super motivating. The maps I've seen have been really helpful.
Are there any sorta current trail maps on-line for Scotia? If not would someone have some that could be e-mailed? So far getting lost hasn't been a problem. It seems sooner or later I pop out on a road or double back and find my way.
FYI-my wife makes fun of me for collecting maps. So you would be helping her as well. Thanks and I really appreciate any info or maps.

I can be reached at jlpserriere "at" hotmail "dot"...

kevinb Re:scotia map? - 2007/09/05 10:06 I know there have been some attempts at mapping scotia but the big problem is that there are no sign posts or official names to orient yourself as well as new or sort of trails going in over time so a map is not really going to be too much help. Its also technically illegal to ride most of the stuff in there including almost all the singletrack so we as a club dont really want to encourage riding in there on the site. But when i get back from out west ill see what I can come up with. The best way to "learn" it is to get out there on your own and with somebody who does know it
