frank Re:SM100 - 2007/08/24 20:33 This news apparently even made Raymo decide to race it.
Anyone want in on that action?
7 to 1 against.
tie breaker will be how many times he waffles.

Raymo853 Re:SM100 - 2007/08/24 23:49 First, I never said I was racing the SH100. I simply said i was going to the event and was not sure if to race or volunteer and ride around. Today's ride proved the last three weeks of marshland field work did what I expected, built up my hand calluses, weakened my back and cardio system tot he point I can barely ride 20 miles.

I am goign to the SH100 next week with Eric Nord who is racing, but am not racing it.

I emailed Mummbles saying I wanted to race early this week. He said too bad there is already a long waiting list.

I am still going down with 29-Norder to either race or help out.

Raymo853 Re:SM100 - 2007/08/31 22:51 If any of you are considering getting a new frame with Paragon sliding dropouts, DO NOT. They suck, there is no other way to say it. Mine were a problem from day one and now the drive side one is bent and my bike is pretty much fudged.

Death Re:SM100 - 2007/09/01 07:52 Paragons suck or sliding dropouts in general suck?

frank Re:SM100 - 2007/09/01 09:51 Or general incompetence?

Raymo853 Re:SM100 - 2007/09/01 10:52 Regardless, I am now on the racer list for the SH100. I got my dropout rebent back by folks at a local shop here in DC, http://www.bikerackdc.com/

The guys and gals at this shop all know about Mt Nittany Wheelworks. Amazing the insight they were able to provide in why MNWW is the way it is the way it is.

My opinion of sliding dropouts and paragons is now a bit better, regardless I still say go with an ebb of some type.

Death Re:SM100 - 2007/09/01 12:43 Congrats on getting into the SM100.

The other conversations should probably be moved to the General Discussion and Soapbox forums if people feel the need to continue them.

Jeez, I really didn't want to become the forum police.

Raymo853 Re:SM100 - 2007/09/01 13:54 Not to go on another product rant, but now that my X.9 trigger just fell apart in my hands, I am back to having no bike.

Further proof you should always have two bikes.

frank Re:SM100 - 2007/09/01 14:45 Or ride a single speed.
But then you'd have to have paragon drop outs and...
