hodog AFT improvements - 2007/07/09 15:20 Just an FYI: Yoda and I have made some improvements to the Moosehead lane to Shingle Mill section of the AFT. Mostly just paving the wet spots, adding a rock here and there, and cutting out a few stumps. Enjoy!

acr140 Re:AFT improvements - 2007/07/09 16:08 Where is Moosehead Lane? Is it on the AFT somewhere between Shingle Mill and Rock Run?

kevinb Re:AFT improvements - 2007/07/09 16:12 yea, its actually a camp road with a trail continuing from the end of it that runs into the AFT. Its basically when the AFT flatens out along Benner Run.

Yoda Re:AFT improvements - 2007/07/10 00:37 I'm planning to ride the AFT and Shingle tomorrow and may do some additional work on Shingle if time permits. It could probably use some hand tools and rock work to really make a difference though. The AFT from Moosehead to the camp is absolutely beautiful now(in my opinion). I think the gardens are all possible to clean.

hodog Re:AFT improvements - 2007/07/10 09:15 It was beautiful Sunday until I realized the butterflys were actually gypsy moths. The flies are getting bad too but the trail is in fantastic shape. I started working on the AFT after the camp, but the bad descent next to the creek will be an all day job.
