Demon of the Fall IMBA trail care - 2006/10/06 10:29 The IMBA trail care crew of Ryan and Kristin are visiting our area. They put on an excellent presentation last night at Penn State about sustainable trail building. The information for this weekend's schedule is on the home page about the trail school and trail building at Lake Raystown this weekend. This will happen Saturday and Sunday from 9-4, meeting at Seven Points marina. It is probably about 1 hour drive from State College.

The Army Corps of Engineers and DCNR are the land managers and they are hoping to see a large number of volunteers come out for this program. This project has been 4 years in the planning. It will be an approximately 25 mile trail system. If you can make it this weekend, please come out to help. It will be important to show the ACOE and DCNR that there is alot of volunteer support for this trail project.

Death Re:IMBA trail care - 2006/10/07 12:01 Whoever goes (or has gone, at this point) to the workshops, it'd be great if we can get some pictures and have someone write an article to put on on the website. If someone else does the writing, I'll be glad to help put the stuff up.

princess Re:IMBA trail care - 2006/10/10 23:13 i had the chance to speak with the IMBA crew today. kristin and ryan said the ball got dropped on the organizational end and the attendance was dismal. o total attendance of 7 if i recall correctly, with some of those being contractors seeking the bid.

that's pathetic in all honesty. too many people have been spoiled by what we have here. i hope that the project goes through just the same tho. it'd be nice to have more riding

BTW HO, i one upped your *ss tonight. as i put it i'm a princess and i'll not take second place to some common HO
