Raymo853 Lingle Faust - 2007/05/09 21:38 Has anyone taken a recent look at Lingle Faust trail over above Stillhouse? There was a cutting and deer fence installed. I could not find the normal entrance from the west but found it off of Sand Mountain Road near the Summit trail.

Is it kinda of gone? Frank, will it be taken out of the W101? If yes why not throw in the trail on the other side of Sand Mountain road?

frank Re:Lingle Faust - 2007/05/10 11:42 Yes we are aware that the trail is gone. Since there is a change to the location of Check point three that has added a little distance, Chris and I talked about just following Sand Mtn Road from the end of Faust ValleyTrail. the trail that is on the other side of the rd is fun, but not at mile 80. It also would take you a little further away then necessary.

Demon of the Fall Re:Lingle Faust - 2007/05/10 13:33 Where is checkpoint 3?

Gosh, I hope no one leaves behind any garbeg after the race.

kevinb Re:Lingle Faust - 2007/05/10 13:59 check point 3 was at the base of sassafrass but forestry asked it be moved towards the state park, actually at the maintenance shed near the corner of 305 and rag hollow. the route will probably be to take a right down spencer at the bottom of telephone and go via the roads towards the park then cut over towards the shed just before the furnace.
