quikdraw Tree on Tussey Ridge - 2006/09/26 12:27 There's a fresh tree down Tussey Ridge, just after the crossroads of Tuxedo & Kettle. It's pretty rotten and probably could be taken care of with a larger sized pack saw, but a chainsaw would make it much quicker. I'll take care of it later in the week if no one else does it.

princess Re:Tree on Tussey Ridge - 2006/09/26 20:40 from what i saw of it tonight, i would want the chainsaw. there's also a monster on upper lonberger that could use being removed, though it is tempting to try and make it a log ride.

frank Re:Tree on Tussey Ridge - 2006/09/27 22:13 So is it paralell to the trail or across it? I am still somewhat amazed that no one has ever made a solid log ride. OR that an alternate line never developed on the larger rock garden leading into the Taledaga turn on Tuxedo.
Instead we just get crappy ladder bridges. sigh...

hodog Re:Tree on Tussey Ridge - 2006/09/28 11:08 Frank,
You need to check out Rock Run. There is a thin log ride that is really cool on the first loop. The sketchy thin bridge is still there as are the multiple opportunities to develop alternate lines anywhere along the trail.

princess Re:Tree on Tussey Ridge - 2006/09/28 18:22 it falls across the trail and is pretty sizable. i'm working on a log ride out there, the big one on upper lonberger looks promising.

Yoda Re:Tree on Tussey Ridge - 2006/09/28 19:18 I was by the new fall on tussey today, that one should probably be cleared, it will need a chainsaw for sure though. I might be able to get it tomorrow if I head out that way. -Mark
