its done

Sorry to be the bringer of bad news, but we rode Camp Saturday night and there is a new log. It's about halfway down, and is about 2 feet off the ground and about 6-8" thick. Slightly rotten wood. Everything else is cleared out really nice though.

Mike B. Re:How to report fallen trees/chainsaw work - 2010/08/24 22:14 Tree down on Croyle, maybe a 1/4 mile from the bottom. Best guess is about 12" in diameter and 30" off the ground as a best guess, definitely a chain saw job. Spotted on 8/21.

YabbaDabba Re:How to report fallen trees/chainsaw work - 2010/08/28 20:16 There is a second deadfall on Croyle as well. About 200 yards in from the top of the trail. Multiple branches, diagonally across the trail. Spotted 8/28/10.

ScottC Re:How to report fallen trees/chainsaw work - 2010/09/03 15:09 Cleared both upper and lower deadfalls on Croyle today.

Also cleared the deadfall that was about 2/3rds of the way down on Telephone.

StumpJumper Re:How to report fallen trees/chainsaw work - 2011/05/22 15:26 FYI: Brush Ridge Trail is a mess with downed trees and trails that look like creek bottoms.

Also are trees down on Thickhead Mtn road, a large one close to bottom and smaller one up near the top (which could be cut with a saw)

YabbaDabba Re:How to report fallen trees/chainsaw work - 2011/06/26 21:18 Found a down tree on Greenshoot today, just after the 2nd switchback to the right. The rest of the trail is in great shape.

drcanoehead Re:How to report fallen trees/chainsaw work - 2012/05/05 13:53 There is a tree down across Little Shingletown Road about half way between Laurel Run Road and Pine Swamp Road (of course). It is on the ground with no route around and will require a chainsaw. Maybe 18" to 24" in diameter.

HMargusity Re:How to report fallen trees/chainsaw work - 2013/02/02 08:21 Went hiking last night and found some trees down on the trails. One is located on 3 Bridges close to the intersection of Spruce and a couple of trees are down on Old Laurel Run about 1/3 the way up from from 3 bridges.

I removed a bunch of smaller tree limbs from the trails but the ones mentioned above need to be chained sawed. I don't think they can be used as jumps because they are small and sit high above the ground.
