princess TMT (not to be confused with TMNT) work - 2006/10/29 20:43 matt, duffy and i spent 6 hours out on the trails today, barely making it back off of the trails before dark.

on upper lonberger, the massive log has been mostly finished off, and is rideable as evidenced by duffy numerous times, myself and matt a couple times and ER once.

along tussey, there are a couple of newer alternate lines in the burn area as well as a couple more in the works.

we also removed the other deadfall near kettle. or rather just moved it.

more projects to come, so long as it stays above freezing.

please, if you ride this stuff give some feedback on it. we're doing what we can to spice things up without changing anything on the existing trails, but we need to know how other people are looking at things.

frank Re:TMT (not to be confused with TMNT) work - 2006/10/29 21:54 As I said on the trail, it all looks pretty good, great job. I do think the log over at the rock garden near kettle is a bit silly. A lot of solid work but the run at it kind of sucks. Once the exits for the log ride on lonberger develop a bit, that thing will be smooth.

Demon of the Fall Re:TMT (not to be confused with TMNT) work - 2006/10/30 01:02 I attempted the big 20 foot long log run on upper Longberger in both directions. I was unsucessful both ways but I like it and think it will be a nice challenge. It is scary and it is nice that there is an alternate line to ride around the log which is not exactly easy.

I still can't do the log-over near Kettle. Tough to get a good run at it but at least the middle is cleared out to ride. I agree with Frank's comment on this one.

The crew was in the process of building a nice looking rock line alongside the trail, not far from Fillmore when I happened upon them. Great job in your efforts guys.

Also, I took the shortcut and rode down Fillmore from Tussey Mountain trail for the first time in probably about 4 or 5 years. I was able to ride it cleanly except for 1 foot dab on the really steep, rutted part because I am a chicken. It was alot of fun to get re-acquainted with an old trail. Much like my new found re-appreciation of the Edge (Spruce Gap) thanks to Todd. The Edge and Fillmore rule!

hodog Re:TMT (not to be confused with TMNT) work - 2006/10/30 14:07 I'll have to check Filmore out. I thought it got destroyed by the logging. Are the jumps still there?

kevinb Re:TMT (not to be confused with TMNT) work - 2006/10/30 14:47 dont take it out. theres a perfectly good line around it. I like it, I made it. its a great example of something challenging that is not effecting the normal trail flow.

hodog Re:TMT (not to be confused with TMNT) work - 2006/10/30 17:16 It's easier going towards tusexdos. It makes a good challenge when you do the alternate line through the rock garden then try to gather and hit it. It takes a really solid approach going the other direction.
