jmblg brush ridge - 2009/03/03 08:18 we rode brush ridge on Sunday, other than 2 chainsaw downfalls and a ton of sticks on the trail, it was in great shape; no mud or water anywhere, the re-route was excellent. one downfall was on the non stoopid end, the other shortly before the climb up to chestnut.

jmblg Re:brush ridge - 2009/03/04 06:14 right, there is no non stoopid end...hmmm....on the coopers road side brush, the section that the stoopids ends on...i just didn't recall on it on the way back..now i do, i tried to go under and over it the second time..the final stretch was so nice, i forgot all about the large downfall on the way back (must have been the stick jamming my front wheel and the fall after that...)

jmblg Re:brush ridge - 2009/03/04 06:22 anyone driving back be careful of the ice on the switchback at the top of bmr (before it decends to wampler)as on Sunday it was ice from one end to another. it was so bad, we decided not to drive back that way. came back using stone creek to milroy exit.
stone creek road was horrible, there are now "dips" in it that make the ones on bear meadows road near kettle/longberger seem small. you have to go pretty slow through these dips...

Allen Re:brush ridge - 2009/03/04 20:55 Yah the rest of the gnomes are still hibernating. I’m still with out a saw and no one seems to trust me with theirs. They must have seen the way I ride my bike.
Lingle is like a skating rink for the first half. What a ride.

jmblg Re:brush ridge - 2009/03/04 21:13 do you think it'll be gone (the ice on lingle) by sat morning?

Allen Re:brush ridge - 2009/03/06 19:00 Some will probable be melted by then. But I think a good amount will still be on the trail. If it doesn’t go below freezing tonight it should be tacky.
