The extension has lots of sticks and crap. One log on the first bench - maybe 3 or 4 guys can slide it? So don't bomb it as usual.
Thickhead road is snow covered ice after the bend. Super icy at the switchback. Wert has crusty, crap snow in the laurels, so wait unless you want a workout. Some new deadfall, but sticks & crap galore.
And yes I hiked through the woods to the fence instead of dropping the gasline. However I did stop on the gasline for a rest. People below need a privacy fence, I could see everything they were up to.
