frank Trailwork day in Shingletown - 2007/08/07 14:54 This Sunday the Club has a trail work day planned. The plan is to meet at the Shigletown lot at 9am to work on brushing out several trails that have gotten choked out.Depending on group size, we may look at doing some work on the two descents off of Bald Knob Ridge back to Lower trail. I would like to work on opening the bench that connects Maguire with the last one and possibly look beyond Maguire.
Bring water, sturdy shoes and some brush clearing implements.

hodog Re:Trailwork day in Shingletown - 2007/08/07 16:16 This conflicts with the Lhorba Blue Knob ride Sunday. Should we wait a week? I believe this is very worthwhile especially since we have been riding Bald Ridge farther down instead of dropping Maquire.

frank Re:Trailwork day in Shingletown - 2007/08/07 20:51 Just like Contador, gifted the win. IF only Levi hadn't been caught holding on to the team car, or asleep at any of the earlier finishes. But I digress.

As for conflicting with the Blue knob ride, There will be at best two maybe three people who will attempt to make the Blue knob ride (and my bet no one in the State College cycling community can make a "butts in the saddle" deadline, thats just heresy) and there will probably be about four people who will show up for trail work. That just seems to be the way it goes.
So Darn the conflict, full speed ahead.
Trailwork, Sunday, Shingletown, 9am. ish.
