gregh road race 2 - 2008/04/25 19:32 Road race bad words huh?It must be cause it wouldnt let me reply.. My friend that organizes it asked me to get some people interested. Its not a very serious race.He needs more people to enter otherwise I dont bother with road racing..I know some guys here that have a good chance.A good place for that blue jersey. They do have a mountain bike class.

acr140 Re:road race 2 - 2008/04/26 22:43 Greg, I plan to enter the Clearfield race this year, even if it is a road race. I gotta support the only local, low-key, non ultra endurance, bicycle race that I know of.

FYI, there is also a team triathlon at Curwensville Lake on May 17. The bicycle portion follows much of the same route as the race you mentioned. http://www.clfdccd.com/Triathlon.htm

gregh Re:road race 2 - 2008/04/27 07:17 Good to hear. Its a fun race and I think the proceeds are donated.People even show up on Wal-Mart FS's.I'm trying to figure out how to aproach the men who have the unknown amount of acres right behind my property to hold an xc race maybe next year. There are enough trails to hold a good 9 mile loop and do laps and I have a decent sized field for parking. Our property has enough for 2-3 of those miles.my father in law fueds with the men who have the land I need(they fight over huntingon each other's property and use to bag at least 6 deer a year illegally)and It might make begging for land for a race tough although he allows me to ride his land.I'll probably have to do some $$ bribing.Of course I'll have to get waivers too.If it goes through maybe I'll have some willing members help me plot out the course.
