Trail work on New Laurel Run is scheduled for Sunday, October 9th, from 9am-4pm. Trail leaders are John Dennis, Aaron Pontzer, Peter Kaufmann and Terri Rudy. Meet in the forestry lot at 9am, and we will car pool to the trailhead. There will most likely be a group that will start from the bottom of the trail and a group that will start from the top of the trail. We will have extra helpers on hand so we need some NMBA members to help organize and keep everyone on task. We will be continuing to pull out laurel and open the trail. If you can only show up for a portion of the time, that is fine, any help you can offer is appreciated!
On Saturday, October 1st, NMBA is hosting a local event for IMBA's Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day. The event will take place from 10am-3pm at Shaver's Creek Environmental Center. The kids will enjoy a mountain bike ride on the trails at Shaver's Creek while learning the history of the area, test their skills on a bicycle obstacle course and see some cool animals that live at the Center.
Please come out and join in the fun! This is going to be a great event in a beautiful location!
The time to order your brand new shiny NMBA jersey has finally come! At a mere $40, this jersey is sure to enhance your appearance, your bike's appearance, and your appearance on your bike!
The jerseys will be the same design as last year, but we will be ordering from a different company. This will become the new ‘official' NMBA jersey.
To place the order, we need to have the money upfront. So, please follow the instructions below.
If you would like to order an NMBA jersey (I'm not sure why you wouldn't?!), please mail your check (payable to NMBA) to:
Terri Rudy
165 Chicory Avenue
Bellefonte, PA, 16823
Please be sure to include your name, the style (men's race, men's sport, men's club, women's race, women's sport, women's club) and the size of the jersey you would like. If you want a sleeveless jersey, please note that as well.
If you were at the Spring NMBA group ride, and you tried on a sample jersey, you tried on a sport cut. If you were not at the Spring NMBA group ride, and you did not try on a sample jersey, please go here http://v-gear.com/Sizing to determine what size you need to purchase.
A special thank you to Michael Hermann for preparing the mapping artwork for the jersey and a special thank you to Aaron Hofelt for getting the jerseys ready to order!
Please be sure to place your order by September 15th!
